Two Fellowships To Choose From

WHO IS IT FOR:

Pre-K - 5th grade educators and principals

​*This fellowship is appropriate for all educators to attend 

WHEN & WHERE:

June 22-25th, 2026 (total of 5 days)

Pre-K & Kindergarten educators and principals

*This fellowship is targeted for early childhood educators and will provide an in-depth look at strategies for this age group

Wilson Teaching & Learning Academy

THE EXPERIENCE:

Continuous connections to the everyday classroom and the real issues educators face daily.

Case studies, vignettes, play plans, whole group/mini/small group lessons, anxiety balls, and more!

PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN TO:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the core principles of child development and the impact of trauma on the physical, social/emotional and cognitive domains of development.

  • Understand their own developmental history and how it impacts day-to-day functioning in the classroom.

  • Have a plan for personal growth and self-care.

  • Design and implement a plan for creating a trauma-responsive classroom that includes environmental. preventative and in-the-moment strategies.

  • Develop and implement a toolbox of strategies for responding to behavior challenges.

REQUIREMENTS & FEES

REQUIREMENTS:
 

  • Attending the entire fellowship (total of 5 days) 

  • Reading What Happened to You? (This will be sent to you upon registration.)

  • Participation in pre and post assessments that will be administered before and after the fellowship to assess effectiveness of training.  These will be anonymously administered.  

  • Hour-long webinars to develop problem solving skills monthly.

  • Implementation of a teacher action research project in which I implement at least one trauma responsive strategy and collect data on the effectiveness of such strategy.  (Dr. Sorrels and her team will be available for support)

FEES:
 

  • $1850 Per person.
